Byzantion, Vol. 9: Paraclisul Maicii Domnului (CD audio)

Formația de muzică bizantină Byzantion activează actualmente în Iași, România, cu binecuvântarea ÎPS Sale Teofan, Mitropolit al Moldovei și Bucovinei si sub egida Universitatii de Arte „G. Enescu”, Iasi. Corul este reprezentat de catre Asociatia Culturala Byzantion.

Incepand cu anul 1997, grupul a sustinut numeroase concerte in Grecia, Danemarca, Belgia, Olanda, Luxembourg, Franta, Italia, Polonia, Rusia, Cehia, Rp. Moldova, Germania, Muntele Athos si Romania, participand la festivaluri importante de muzica sacra (Rencontres Musicales de Vézelay, Rencontres Médiévales de Thoronet, La spiritualité de Torino, Les chansons de nos racines - Jaroslaw, Atlantis du Nord - Olsytyn, Les amis de Santorini, Willibrord 658 – 2008, Przemysl, Pontigny, Plock, Summer School Orthodox Music Festival - Sankt Petersburg, Brixner initiative Musik und Kirsche „Drama und Liturgie”- Bressanone, Archaion Kallos – Praga, Song of our Roots – Jaroslaw, Euroasia Festival - Ekaterinburg etc.). De asemenea, in fiecare an, membrii corului au participat la diferite hramuri ale asezamintelor monahale romanesti si grecesti din Muntele Athos, precum si la simpozioane internationale, incercand sa transmita prin interpretarile lor din frumusetea, complexitatea si profunzimea monodiei bizantine.
